History of The Keg
The Keg Steakhouse & Bar opened in 1971 in North Vancouver, Canada. George Tidball opened the first restaurant, “The Keg and Cleaver,” in a small, old building. George wanted to create a fun and friendly place to enjoy good food.
The Keg became known for its delicious steaks and lively atmosphere, making it a popular spot for people to eat and have a good time. Over the years, The Keg grew and opened new restaurants across Canada and the United States, reaching 160 locations by 2018. The Keg is also known for turning old historic buildings into beautiful restaurants.
In 2018, Recipe Unlimited bought The Keg. Even though the ownership has changed, The Keg is still one of the best places to enjoy a steak, and its warm and welcoming atmosphere remains the same.
